Highway1, a division of PCH, is the premier hardware startup accelerator. We invest in great hardware startups with an exciting business idea and a compelling prototype. We help early-stage startups design products that deliver real value to customers, that are delightful to use and that can be manufactured at scale. We run two 16-week programs a year where companies will work with dedicated engineers, and learn about manufacturing and retail in order to better understand how to build their supply chain.



Being a good receptionist is easy. It doesn’t take much to sit behind a desk and make sure visitors don’t steal the furniture. But being a rockstar office coordinator takes skill. It begins with a great personality, the ability to win guests over from the moment they step foot in your office or come across your email, and being able to handle difficult conversations like the head of public relations.

Responsible for handling reception, office coordination, and program administrative duties, including managing executive calendars, scheduling curriculum sessions, mentor lectures and office hours, and investor meetings. Greet guests and visitors, handle company inquiries, and sort and distribute mail.

We’re looking for someone who is excited about being in the startup environment and willing to wear many hats. You’ll thrive in this position if you are organized, one step ahead, proactive, and superlatively detail-oriented.


Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred.

40 hrs/wk

Reports to: Program Director

This is a full-time position.



  • Answer inquiries about company and programs.
  • Staff the front desk.
  • Disseminate schedules and bulletins to all building occupants.
  • Manage executive calendars.
  • Greet visitors warmly and make sure they are comfortable in the reception area.
  • Manage visitor sign-in system.
  • Manage the conference room reservation system, including scheduling.
  • Coordinate the maintenance/cleanliness of shared conference rooms.
  • Assist program director with monitoring policies regarding shared space use.
  • Ensure reception and kitchen area are tidy.
  • Coordinate mail flow in and out of office.
  • Collect and distribute parcels and other mail.
  • Take and relay messages.
  • Support the Highway1 staff, startups, alumni, and guests.
  • Manage kitchen and office supply vendors.
  • Assist community manager with event set-up and cleanup.
  • Order and stock office supplies, etc.
