About the role

PCH Lime Lab is seeking a Group Director for its China office located in Shenzhen working as a key member of the PCH leadership team and reporting to the head of PCH Lime Lab. We’re growing our business and need a talented business leader to help achieve our goals. We are looking for an individual with strong analytical capabilities as well as the ability to build trusting relationships with our diverse design and execution teams. This person must demonstrate a collaborative leadership style, exemplary communication skills, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity. At PCH Lime Lab China, the Group Director is about supporting great decision making, building trust, and demonstrating great judgment. Specific responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, enhancement, implementation, reporting, and oversight of the PCH Lime Lab China business financials and operations
  • Provide leadership in building, implementing, and overseeing the business strategies, structure, and organizational effectiveness
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Quality, Supply Base Management, Resource Planning and Purchasing
  • Drive client focused teams on development and manufacturing scheduling, pricing, quality control and client reporting
  • Lead overall client-facing periodic business, project reviews, QBRs.
  • Lead high level supplier/vendor discussions, maintain and improve supplier relationships
  • Build, oversee, guide, and mentor our team of client managers, engineers, product managers, and facility compliance managers by providing transparent and open communication.
  • Leadership and management of the China team to drive organizational and business development objectives, achieving incremental top and bottom line growth of the P&L
  • Lead engagements with internal PCH Groups for seamless integration with PCH kitting, pack-out, postponement and fulfillment services
  • Integrate and seamlessly support the Global Business Development, Sales and Account Management team, developing a mutually agreed monthly input to the Sales and Operations Planning process, short range demand forecast and long range business development plan, to entrepreneurially drive incremental growth and business development of the clients within the business group.
  • Work with client managers to craft compelling proposals for our potential clients providing scope and targets, including timelines, staffing requirements, and expected revenues and expenses
  • Be the voice of reason that ensures profitable and healthy client delivery


Qualifications and skills

  • 15+ years of experience in product development, manufacturing, consulting, supply chain management and order fulfillment in a high-mix/high-volume consumer electronics organization
  • Ability to lead an effective team in a cross-cultural environment
  • Leadership and management of cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, supply-based management and program management
  • Strong listening and communication skills to work effectively with senior leadership and a wide range of clients as well as the ability to provide sound judgment and decision making.
  • Direct experience with, or a sound working knowledge of, a business P&L, purchasing and/or pricing negotiation, budgeting, working capital management, cash flow, capital expenditure, and financial reporting
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills; negotiating skills are paramount
  • A demonstrated business acumen and exemplary people leadership skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, including slide deck creation, public speaking, and ability to answer questions on the fly

Minimum requirements

  • Strong understanding of laws and business practices, and well connected with local/regional resources
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
